Though traveling abroad, Michelle Obama remains loyal to her favorite American designers. For her departure with President Obama this morning, the First Lady wore a custom made
Thakoon silk tulle coat with grosgrain ribbon trim and a wool
Michael Kors shift dress. The fluid ensemble was accessorized by a double strand of pearls and a purple brooch making for a classic, distinguished look. And she didn’t stop there.

For her London arrival this evening, Lady O cinched a yellow satin crepe dress by
Jason Wu with her famed
Azzedine Alaia belt. If anyone can find fault in this outfit, then… I just don’t know. It is classy with a hint of sexy. Flattering in shape and color. And most of all, true to her style. I’m looking forward to the next five days.

I love her Jason Wu yellow wrap dress and MK black duster. This ensemble though looks too traditional for her. The coat is pretty, but is made so badly, it ruins it.
Nothing is "ruined", people can be so negative, I think the overall effect is classy and elegant..
chill will ya, its a fashion blog after all...we don't all need to agree.
My 'negative' comment was the Thankoon white and black she wore for her departure. Its a chanel take, but the quality is poorly made. Hopefully when the economy improves, 1st lady is more willing to wear the likes of Chanel and YSL.
