In Case You Missed It

The First Lady answered 10 questions on Jay Leno last Friday, and she was just delightful in a Thakoon dress we haven't seen since the presidential debate last year.

First Lady Debuts New Waist Belt

This afternoon, Michelle Obama held an event in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  She arrived at the First Lady's Garden wearing a grey sweater and a spring 2009 floral Moschino pencil skirt.  Lady O also debuted a new waist belt.  Could this be a new favorite?

10/26 Update:

Michelle Obama also met with Queen Silvia of Sweden in the Yellow Oval Room of the White House that same day.  She wore a coordinating jacket with the Moschino skirt.

The Official Obama Family Photo

The Obamas look sun-kissed and joyful in their official family photo.

First Lady Hulas, Jumps, and Runs in Style

Michelle Obama hosted a Healthy Kids Fair on the South Lawn of the White House today.  She ran, double-dutched, and hula-hooped in a Jason Wu blouse and belted cardigan.  And of course Lady O made it all look effortless.  Read more for photos of the First Lady in action.

Michelle Obama Recovers An Old Favorite

The First Lady visited the Department of Veterans Affairs today looking very pretty in black and white.  She accessorized a cardigan and scroll-printed skirt with a single strand of pearls. Lady O also recovered a black patent belt that we haven't seen in a while, and the Huffington Post has a gallery of every look she's worn it with.

Michelle Obama in Miami

While most New Yorkers dragged themselves to work today in the cold and rain dressed in all black, Lady O was glowing in Miami.  She spoke at a luncheon at Miami Dade College wearing a J.Crew cardigan and floral dress.

Health Care & Fiesta

The First Lady spoke to the Department of Health and Human services today about health care for children.  Although I think the sheath dress does better things for her, she still looks great in this black cardigan + shell set with a full purple skirt.  On an accessories note, she kept it simple with a black brooch at the collar.

Then, she changed into something decorative for Fiesta Latina, a celebration of Hispanic musical heritage at the White House.

Lady O in Pink, Leopard, Sequins for Church

Michelle Obama attended a prayer service with the family this morning at St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C.  She went for a more playful look than the Peter Soronen dress she wore to church on Easter Sunday.

Stargazing at the White House

Middle school students and astronomers from across the country gathered at the White House this evening to look at the stars. The First Lady joined them in layers and ballet flats. A Zero + Maria Cornejo belt held together a blue jacket over a lavender top and cardigan. Said jacket appears to be the same Cornejo piece that we've seen her wear in black and purple.

10/8 Update: The jacket is indeed by Cornejo!

Happy Anniversary!

Michelle Obama celebrated 17 years of marriage with the hubby this weekend at Blueduck Tavern in Georgetown. Sparkly bangles and a blue clutch spiced up her LBD and Jimmy Choo heels. 10/7 Update: Dress by Narciso Rodriguez!

Chicago's Out, Lady O Still Rocks

Looks like the First Lady's not stressing Chicago's loss of hosting the 2016 Olympics. She returned to the US yesterday looking quite nice in a printed Liz Claiborne New York dress cinched by the Azzedine Alaia belt we all know and love.

Charming in Copenhagen

The First Lady and President Obama attended the Chicago 2016 presentation at the Bella Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark today. Lady O urged the International Olympic Committee to let her hometown host the games. And in this gorgeous silk sheath dress by Michael Kors, I'm sure she was simply irresistible.

Radiant in Rodarte

The International Olympic Committee might have a hard time turning down Michelle Obama when she speaks about her support for Chicago hosting the 2016 Olympics. I mean who can say no to a woman in lame Rodarte?!

What She Packed: Wu,Cornjeo, Thakoon, and Metallic Pumps

Michelle Obama landed in Copenhagen, Denmark yesterday to speak in support of Chicago's 2016 Olympic bid, and she brought along some of her favorite designers to help. For her arrival, Lady O somehow made mixing abstract prints work in a Jason Wu tweed dress under a Zero + Maria Cornejo jacket. She stuck with Wu, but kept it simple, for a speech later that evening. And nothing says good morning like the Thakoon dress + jacket paired with metallic pumps she wore today. LOVE.
